Describe your research project in a few lines.

My doctoral thesis examines sexual satisfaction among young people aged 14 to 21 who have experienced interpersonal trauma. More specifically, I am interested in the impact of these experiences on sexual satisfaction, as well as the moderating role of beliefs related to sexuality (fixed vs. growth mindset). The project also aims to compare sexual satisfaction across different types of trauma (e.g., sexual abuse, physical violence, emotional neglect). This project is part of the longitudinal study “Précurseurs des relations sexuelles et amoureuses des jeunes” (PRESAJ) and draws on data collected from participants.

Can you share with us a memorable moment or experience from your academic journey?

One of the highlights of my journey has been getting accepted into the psychology Ph.D. program!

What is the most challenging aspect of your research or studies, and how do you overcome it?

What I find most challenging about my academic journey is juggling multiple responsibilities at once, including classes, internships, and research projects. This requires good time management and maintaining a balance with my personal life. To help with this, I try to plan my weeks realistically, prioritize what’s most important, and set aside time to slow down, which helps me manage stress better and maintain my balance.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
