Describe your research project in a few lines.
My research project aims to document the longitudinal links between bullying experienced during adolescence, romantic attachment, and sexual well-being in adulthood. This project is part of the longitudinal study “Precursors of Sexual and Romantic Relationships in Young People” (PRESAJ). It is based on data collected from participants from measurement time 1 to measurement time 7.
Can you share with us a memorable moment or experience from your academic journey?
A particularly memorable moment in my academic career was receiving my first client during my first clinical internship. It was a mixture of excitement and feeling like an impostor, but it was such a wonderful experience that allowed me to (finally!) put into practice what I had learned during my studies.
What is the most challenging aspect of your research or studies, and how do you overcome it?
The most difficult aspect of my journey is time management and balancing the different areas of my life (classes, research requirements, work, and personal life). To cope with this, I try to focus on realistic, flexible planning, making sure to intentionally incorporate moments of “fun” into my schedule.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball, cooking, and (most of all) spending time with my dogs. These are wonderful activities that allow me to unwind!
