Describe your research project in a few lines.

My project focuses on the concept of semantics, used by Luhmann to describe, in a way, the stabilization of certain meanings at the cultural level, as well as how this theoretical tool can be used to specifically study the dynamics of contemporary intimate relationships.

Can you share with us a memorable moment or experience from your academic journey?

One of the most important moments in my career so far was receiving the second revision of my first scientific article. I was confronted with objections from a reviewer; I found them demotivating, and I didn't know how to respond because they had little to do with my text. I was afraid of prolonging a fruitless debate. At that point, my supervisor and colleagues were a great help. I then felt fully integrated into an academic network, rather than isolated.

What is the most challenging aspect of your research or studies, and how do you overcome it?

The most difficult aspect for me was switching from philosophy (which I studied throughout my academic career up to my PhD) to sociology. It was a real change in mindset and forced me to radically alter the way I present my work.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy going for walks outdoors and playing the guitar.
